Sing it to the tune of Adam West’s Batman TV series theme!
What you’ll need:
- For the chips:
- Onion, chopped to bits
- a bag of tortilla chips, find a plain one if you can. I’m using a cheaper, flavored one since it’s well.. cheaper 😀
- Ground beef
- Cheese, any type of cheese should be ok, but it’ll work best with a mix of mozzarella and cheddar
- salt, pepper, and optionally, Worcestershire sauce
- For Salsa:
- Onion, chopped to bits
- skinned tomatoes, chopped to bits
- lemon juice, just a little bit
- cilantro, or coriander leaves, minced
- salt, pepper
First, prepare the minced beef. Heat up a pan with a bit of olive oil, and put in the onion. Wait until they’re transparent and smell delicious, and put in the beef. Add salt and pepper to taste. I also add Worcestershire sauce to mine. Steer until the juice from the beef dried out.
Get a wide , oven-able bowl, and start laying out a layer of tortilla chips. Put a layer of minced beef on top of the tortilla layer, and then a layer of cheese. Repeat for a second, and optionally a third layer if you don’t really care about your weight and health 😀
Pre-heat your oven with medium heat, and bake the chips for 15 to 20 minutes
While the chips are baking, get all of the ingredients for the salsa into a bowl, and mix them. You can additionally put chopped jalapeño if you want more bites. If you have a food processor, use it to make the mix into even smaller chunks. You can also use pre-made salsa bought from store, but those usually lack enough kick of cilantro.
Take out the chip from your oven, bring up How To Get Away With Murder season 2 on your media player, and enjoy your sinful treat 😀
